I am tired of companies like ScanAlert (Hacker Safe)and ControlScae telling me that they can increase sales by some percentage if I put their logo on my site; so, let's get the community invoved. I have heard very mixed results.

Please post your results. You must do your own independant split A/B testing. Never trust a company who is selling your their service to also do the testing for you. I have heard that these companies like to provide unusually favorable results.

Use the discussion page to talk about your experiences with these companies, such as how annoying their sales people were, and how hard it was to cancel and get a refund. E.g. HackerSafe (ScanAlert) has a poor reputation according to webmasterse from webmaster world, and friends of mine.

Which of these did you use? If you did split A/B (at diffirent times of course) for HackerSafe and your own Homemade Logo, then it should look like this: Y-N-Y-N-N

Logo placement : Where on the page was the logo placed? Imagine a grid on your site, 3 x 3 squares. then number them accross left to right.

1 = SplitAnalyzer
2 = Testing done by the issuer of the security seal (meaning e.g. Hackersafe's own A/B split testing)

Time : How many days did you run the test for?

Orders : Total number of orders within this period (if under 10 per day).

Results W - W/O : "W" means with logo, "W/O" means without. If you ran multiple tests, then separate with hyphen
